Finally!!

I'm back!!! It's been a crazy couple of months. So much has happened since the last time I wrote on my blog. My husband and I recently welcomed two beautiful baby boys to our family (our cousin, Caiden and our nephew, Noah born one day apart). They are truly adorable.

I was also getting ready for the new school year. I'll be teaching 3rd grade this year and I'm looking forward to the challenge. Here is what my classroom looks like after two weeks of cleaning, organizing, and decorating.

I am now convinced that I am obsessed with animal print!

FYI...I am plannning on having a Stampin' Up workshop soon, so look out for my flyer.

Carline's "Crafty Pink Open House" was a success. We had a great time! The decor was absolutely pinky :-)

Congrats Carline! You did an amazing job.

If you are interested in hosting a workshop or becoming a demonstrator contact me at aijcave@hotmail.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.

My cousin, Carline is having an open house today and I am very excited for her. A Stampin' Up Open House is like an orientation. You learn about the Stampin' Up products, you see sample projects, sign up for upcoming classes, and mingle with other guest. Best of all, you get to create a "make and take." Carline is calling it "A Crafty Pink Open House" and I am sure we will have a great time. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

I woke up this morning feeling a little homesick. I really miss my mother and sisters. Here is a picture of a card I created this morning. I am dedicating it to my mother and sisters. I love and miss you guys.

Update

It's been a hectic couple of weeks, but I know God has a plan and everything will happen when He wants it to. I had to postpone my June class until August. I've been working on a few orders and projects. I made a beautiful baby scrapbook for my sister-in-law (she loved it) and a few sets of cards.

I'm hoping to have a class in August. I will let you know date and time. In the meantime, I am enjoying not having to go to work.

XOXO,
Nelle

Open House (June 2010)

I had my first open house on June 5th. I had seven guests show up (not bad). I talked a little about the company Stampin' Up and how I got started. I demonstrated how to create a basic card and then had the guests create an easel card for post its (see picture below). I got the idea from the 2010 Stamp Camp and my cousin, Carline. She is my upline and my cheerleader--LOL. I can't wait for my first Stamp class which will be at the end of June.

Introduction

Welcome to my blog. I am so excited! I am new to this and I have a lot to learn...

I am an elementary school teacher. I've taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. Next school year, I'll be teaching 3rd grade. Yayyyy. One of my many goals is to earn a doctorate degree in educational leadership. I got married 18 months ago to the love of my life and we hope to start a family some time in the near future :-)

I started scrapbooking while I was in college. I enjoyed it a lot, but due to my demanding schedule and everything else going on in my life at the time, I stopped. I was starting to feel overwhelmed. I started a teaching job and went back to school for my Master's. Last January after the earthquake in Haiti, I decided that I needed to start scrapbooking and writing again. In the process I actually found a new love--cardmaking. My wonderful cousin introduced me to Stampin' Up and I am now hooked. LOL. I recently became a demonstrator and I'm looking forward to sharing my projects with you.

XOXO,

Nelle
